At a Glance

Aiji is a premium sobacha made from roasted Dattan soba, a special variety of buckwheat grown in Hokkaido and valued for its high rutin content. Traditionally enjoyed in Japan for supporting digestion and blood sugar balance, this caffeine-free tea offers a smooth, nutty sweetness with a toasty aroma, making it a comforting and nourishing tea for any time of day.

The name Aiji (愛児), meaning “beloved child,” reflects the tea’s warmth and gentle nature. Rich in essential minerals, Sobacha Aiji is made for daily rituals, mindful breaks, or sharing a moment of comfort with those you care for. The tender buckwheat kernels can also be enjoyed after brewing as a wholesome, satisfying snack.

Love this delicious sobacha

I love to drink this delicious fragrant sobacha in the evening as it has no caffein. It has very special taste and smell of freshly baked cookies and toasted nuts. The kernels used to make sobacha (buckwheat tea) are edible and I always eat them after brewing.

Great taste, beautiful packaging, and fast delivery—I'm glad I found this good source for my buckwheat tea. I first drank it in Japan and fell in love with it.

I love green tea but lately sobacha has been very soothing, toasty and comforting on cold days. Bought this a few times already. Very good quality.
