SHIPPING AND RETURNS POLICY

Thank you for shopping at Senbird Tea. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help.

Domestic Shipping

Shipment processing time: All orders are processed within 1-3 business days. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays. Estimated shipping times do not include order processing times. Friday orders after 1:30 pm EST will be processed on the next business day.

*If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there is a significant delay in the shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

Shipping rates & delivery estimates

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. All orders over $99 are automatically eligible for free shipping. Note that delivery delays can occasionally occur so please check your tracking information in the Completed order email for updates.

Shipment to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses

Senbird Tea ships to addresses within the U.S., U.S. Territories, and APO/FPO/DPO addresses.

Shipment confirmation & Order tracking

You will receive a Completed Order confirmation email once your order has shipped, containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.

Customs, Duties, and Taxes

Senbird Tea is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).

International Shipping

Typically shipments arrive within 10-21 days but please allow up to 30 days depending on the custom situation in your country. Unfortunately, since we have no control over customs, we can’t guarantee the delivery date. In addition, we are not responsible for any duty/import taxes/customs charges you may incur.

We are also not responsible for any undeliverable/unclaimed/lost/stolen packages.* Before shipping your package, our team will reach out to confirm your phone number for shipment tracking purposes. For more information about international shipments, please contact your country’s customs.

Returns

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase, and may be asked to send photos.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. You can always contact us for any return question at hello@senbirdtea.com.

Refunds

Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. There is a 10% restocking fee for all returns, which will be deducted from your total. We will notify you of the status of your refund, as soon as possible, after inspecting the item.

If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment. You will receive the credit within 10 business days, depending on your card issuer’s policies. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately within 48 hours (2 days) of delivery, if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Return and Refund Guidelines

Your satisfaction is our top priority. To make returns and refunds as simple and transparent as possible, we’ve outlined the reasons we can and cannot accept returns below. These guidelines help us ensure you always receive the highest quality products.

Acceptable Return/Refund Reasons:

1. Damaged or Defective Items:
  • Tea ware or Gift Sets arrive broken or damaged.
  • Tea Tins are dented, or tea pouches are torn, affecting product quality.
2. Incorrect or Missing Items:
  • Wrong tea, quantity, tea ware, or gift set received.
  • Missing components in a gift set order.

Note: Photos of the issue are required for all return or refund requests.

Non-Eligible Return/Refund Reasons:

1. Opened or Used Products:
  • Tea packages that have been opened or partially used.
  • Tea ware showing signs of use.
2. Subjective Preferences:
  • Claims such as "not strong enough," "too strong," or "not to my taste," unless there’s a documented quality issue.
  • Dissatisfaction based on personal taste expectations (e.g., different flavor notes).
  • Dissatisfaction with tea ware based on subjective preferences such as color or style, especially when these features are clearly indicated on the product listing.
3. Change of Mind:
  • Returns due to "I don’t want it anymore" or ordering the wrong item, unless addressed with us before shipping.
4. Improper Use:
  • Damage caused by not following product care instructions (e.g., dishwashing hand-wash-only items, or storing products in unsuitable conditions like high moisture, extreme temperatures, or strong odors).
5. Natural Wear and Tear (Tea ware):
  • Minor scratches, small marks, or normal wear from regular use.
  • Tarnishing or aging of natural materials over time.
6. Late Requests:
  • Claims submitted after the return window has passed (e.g., 30 days from delivery)

Non-Returnable Items

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food and tea) and custom products (such as special orders or personalized items). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Shipping

You will be responsible for paying for the shipping costs for the returned item. Shipping costs are nonrefundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund.
