BREWING GENMAICHA

1 | Heat fresh, filtered water until boiled.

2 | Pour water into cups to warm the cup and cool down the water. You can also use a yuzamashi water cooler.

Recommended water temperature for this Sencha Genmaicha is 180°F (82°C). Try different brew times and temperatures to find your preference.

3 | Pour water over tea leaves.

4 | Steep for 1-1.5 minutes. This tea can be steeped up to 3 times.

BREWING HOJICHA

1 | Heat fresh, filtered water until boiled. Let cool very slightly — water close to 203°F (95°C) is ideal for bringing out the fragrance and flavor in Hojicha.

2 | Pour water over 1 tablespoon of tea leaves per cup.

3 | Steep for 1-2 minutes. All of our teas can be steeped up to 3 times.

The box and packaging of this is beautiful and it was so perfect for giving to my mom for her birthday. She's Japanese and raised in Japan and she said that these green teas remind her of home and taste really delicious. I'm happy that she enjoyed it and had to taste some myself. I absolutely loved it and how all the flavors are so different!
