At a Glance
Suzu blends deep-steamed sencha with roasted brown rice and matcha from Kyoto, creating a unique and soothing green tea. The brown rice is carefully soaked and deeply roasted, adding a warm, toasted aroma and flavor to the vibrant green brew. During roasting, some rice pops into soft white pieces, giving the tea its signature character.
The name Suzu, meaning “bell,” reflects the tea’s comforting and familiar charm. With notes of roasted grain, nutty sweetness, and a smooth matcha richness, each sip feels cozy, grounding, and quietly uplifting. Naturally low in caffeine with a mellow, satisfying body, Genmai Matcha Suzu is perfect for gentle mornings, cozy afternoons, or winding down after a meal.

I love this tea. Bought my second canister. I find plain green tea a bit grassy. This combo of green, matcha and roasted rice has a lovely mellow flavor. I also find this tea easy to makeit doesnt need to brewed a special way to taste good (except like all green teas it does better in water that is just at boiling not over boiled). I often serve this to my friends and have received lots of compliments.
I love the Genmai Matcha tea! I used to drink it when I worked at a sushi restaurant years ago and haven’t had it since! Super glad I found Senbird! I originally found them on Amazon, but I’m excited about their refill program.
This is hands down my favorite tea! The quality and taste are evident in every sip. It has a delicious, well-balanced flavor with a hint of brown rice that adds a wonderful depth. The taste is not too strong and not too weakit's truly just right. I enjoy it both in the morning and afternoon, and it always feels like the perfect cup. If you love green tea, I highly recommend this one!
Expensive but very nice.
This Tea is perfectly blended giving it a smoothness with each sip as it goes down. I can't wait for my refill and adding a new blend to the nook in my kitchen.
