At a Glance

Isshin is a high-grade gyokuro made from the Asatsuyu cultivar, celebrated for its naturally sweet and mellow character. Grown under shade for 20 days before harvest, this gyokuro develops a vibrant green color, mellow umami flavor, and a smooth, low-astringency finish that sets it apart from standard green teas.

The name Isshin (一心), meaning “a moment of connection,” reflects the spirit of sharing and togetherness found in every cup. With notes of sweet greens, delicate umami, and a soft, smooth finish, each sip feels nurturing, uplifting, and grounding. Naturally rich in theanine and antioxidants, Gyokuro Isshin is perfect for mindful moments, meaningful conversations, or daily self-care rituals.

3 | Pour water over the tea leaves.

Recommended water temperature for Gyokuro is 122°F (50°C)-140°F (60°C). Try different brew times and temperatures to find your preference.

ICE BREW - KOORIDASHI GYOKURO

1 | Put the tea leaves in a kyusu or teapot (with a capacity of 500-700ml) without a tea strainer and spread thinly for easy extraction.

*Avoid using a strainer, as tea may become lukewarm. If preferred, let the ice melt in the fridge overnight.

2 | Put the ice directly on top of the tea leaves. We recommend using ice made from filtered water or mineral water for a more delicious flavor.

3 | Leave the teapot at room temperature for 4 to 5 hours or leave it in the fridge overnight. After the ice melts, shake it gently to even out the tea extract. Pour into the cup(s). Enjoy the beautiful green color and wonderful umami flavor!
