Recommended water temperature for Gyokuro is 122°F (50°C)-140°F (60°C). Try different brew times and temperatures to find your preference.

氷出汁
ICE BREW - KOORIDASHI GYOKURO
1 | Put the tea leaves in a kyusu or teapot (with a capacity of 500-700ml) without a tea strainer and spread thinly for easy extraction.
*Using a tea strainer is not recommended, as the extracted tea may get lukewarm over time at room temperature. If you would like to use a tea strainer, we would encourage you to leave the ice to melt in the fridge overnight.
2 | Put the ice directly on top of the tea leaves. We recommend using ice made from filtered water or mineral water for a more delicious flavor.
3 | Leave the teapot at room temperature for 4 to 5 hours or leave it in the fridge overnight. After the ice melts, shake it gently to even out the tea extract. Pour into the cup(s). Enjoy the beautiful green color and wonderful umami flavor!
Best green tea in the WORLD!
If you are into matcha like we are, you’ll love this. We have one to two cups per day, two to four total between us. This is enough to last us about two months. Make sure to store the canister in the refrigerator. I grew up on matcha as a young kid living in Japan. Matcha helps get me going in the morning without the inevitable crash that comes with drinking coffee or energy drinks. In addition, it also helps with focus and concentration.

I’ve tried tons of “high grade” gykoru and I gotta say this is one of my favorites. Very unique taste, I love it.
Love to see real gyokuro accessible in the US! This is awesome stuff. Esp appreciate it being stored and sold in a tin jar rather than paper bags.
