The tablespoon Chasaji "tea scoop" is made with hand-picked bark from cherry blossom trees, each unique in the design and texture of the wood. Kabazaiku, or wood bark craft, is a traditional labor-intensive process that uses the bark of wild cherry trees to create accessories and tools. To ensure maximum durability of the wood selected, only bark from trees that have been exposed to strong winds and snow is used.
Cherry Wood Tea Scoop Details
This tea scoop measures roughly one tablespoon with each use. Simply fill up half the tea scoop to measure roughly one tablespoon of tea leaves. Each tea scoop is handmade from cherry wood that is light yet durable and carries unique details from the piece of bark used. We recommend storing it with your tea leaves in a tea canister (Chazutsu) to help absorb moisture and fight bacterial growth.

HOW TO BREW SENCHA
1 | Heat fresh, filtered water until boiled.
2 | Pour water into cups to warm the cup and cool down the water.
3 | Pour water over the tea leaves. Steep for 1-1.5 minutes. This tea can be steeped up to 3 times.
