At a Glance
Suzu blends deep-steamed sencha with roasted brown rice and organic matcha from Kyoto, creating a unique and soothing green tea. The brown rice is carefully soaked and deeply roasted, adding a warm, toasted aroma and flavor to the vibrant green brew. During roasting, some rice pops into soft white pieces, giving the tea its signature character.
The name Suzu, meaning “bell,” reflects the tea’s comforting and familiar charm. With notes of roasted grain, nutty sweetness, and a smooth matcha richness, each sip feels cozy, grounding, and quietly uplifting. Naturally low in caffeine with a mellow, satisfying body, Genmai Matcha Suzu is perfect for gentle mornings, cozy afternoons, or winding down after a meal.

I love the Genmai Matcha tea! I used to drink it when I worked at a sushi restaurant years ago and haven’t had it since! Super glad I found Senbird! I originally found them on Amazon, but I’m excited about their refill program.
This Tea is perfectly blended giving it a smoothness with each sip as it goes down. I can't wait for my refill and adding a new blend to the nook in my kitchen.
I love it so much I need one every morning
I start my day off with about six ounces of tea. This is most definitely a product that I would not regret buying again.
That being said.. My first experience with this product was a bit rocky. It doesn't happen often, But Amazon sent me something else by mistake. It was their brand new roasted brown rice tea.
I got to say that it really does enhance the flavor of this tea quite a bit.
So why should we drink tea? Well if you're looking at limiting your caffeine intake.. an 8 oz cup of coffee is about 100 mg of caffeine per.
This is Japanese tea, So about 6 oz of green tea is about 20 mg of caffeine per.
Keep in mind that genmacha tea sometimes has extra added caffeine. Plus if you're really into organic, the whole Tea is organic.
This tea can easily be brewed threee times. 1st brew is an excelent blend of sencha and toasted rice, while the 2nd brew will enhance the nutty notes of the rice. 3rd brew was a sublime almost pure nutty flavor. Very enjoyable indeed.
