Matcha Otome is a ceremonial-grade organic green tea powder that has a fresh aroma of sweet grass and rich, velvety notes of chocolate. From the prestigious Uji region in Kyoto, this matcha is excellent as is or in drinks such as matcha lattes, smoothies, and cocktails.

Serving Size: 1
Total Time:
3-5 minute prep + 3-8 hour chilling time

Oats Mixture

  • 3/4tsp Matcha Green Tea Powder + 1/4 tsp to sprinkle on top
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon + 1/4 tsp for the apples
  • 1/2 cup Rolled Oats
  • 1/3 cup Milk of Choice (oat milk, almond, cashew)
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/3 cup Apple Sauce (unsweetened)

Apple Topping

  • 1 small/medium apple cubed
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon

Other Toppings (optional)

  • Matcha Green Tea powder
  • The nut of Choice (We used almonds)

How to make:

  1. Dry ingredients: Incorporate ½ tsp of cinnamon into the rolled oats in a mason jar or other airtight container.
  2. Wet Ingredients: Mix in the apple sauce and milk of choice, followed by the honey and vanilla.
  3. Add ¾ tsp of matcha powder into the wet ingredients
  4. Store your oats in the fridge to chill.
  5. To make your apple topping: combine the cubed apple and ¼ tsp of cinnamon. Mix well. Store in an airtight container. (The Cinnamon will prevent your apples from browning overnight)

Pro Tips:

  • You can eat your oats as soon as 2 hours; however, we recommend leaving them overnight for 8 hours.
  • Double this recipe for a jar for you and a friend!
